The beginning

Here we go! Renegade started originally in 1976 out of Greenfield, MA as a 6 piece rock band and I (Joe Baldi) was the original sound man! One thing led to another and I found myself on stage playing bass and singing with arguably 4 of the most talented people in the music business. Renegade's abilities transcended chops and proficiency. Every member in the band brought a level of creativity and lack of musical abandon that impacted every aspect of our style, writing and playing/performing. We wrote great originals and had a live sound that was unmatched.

This is the very beginning of an act of love brought on by a very special person, Stacy Birdsall. She would love to see the band get back together for a reunion concert! Her hard work in organizing the bands past has resulted in this, the beginning! Thanks baby. I'll do my best to make you proud!
